Which one is best for you
Flawlessly shaped eyebrows: the ultimate dream of every woman. Currently, there are many methods on how to get those perfectly shaped eyebrows. Apart from the conventional and still most popular DIY (do-it-yourself) method of tweezing, eyebrow threading and waxing are also emerging as top favorites. Before choosing, it is necessary to look into the advantages/disadvantages of these two methods and what are the major differences.
Waxing procedure uses soft plastic strips with wax on one side. The strips serve as stencils are cut in the middle to follow the eyebrow shape desired. The stencil is carefully applied over the eyebrow. Pressure is then applied to allow the wax to stick on the hair and pulling it firmly to remove the hair. Toner and moisturizer is applied to reduce the redness and to close the skin pores.
Meanwhile, eyebrow threading uses pure cotton threads being twisted to pluck the unwanted hair. The hair is eliminated in a neat line and it is much faster and convenient hair removal method.
Differences
Since threading has little contact with the skin, it does not severely irritate the skin; unlike in waxing where hair is removed by pulling the skin. While both procedures need pain tolerance, waxing is still the more painful one, as majority of the waxes in the market are warm and could result to burning the skin. Chemicals abundant in wax solutions can cause irritation especially to sensitive skin. On the long-term, eyebrow waxing may result to loosening of the skin and the emergence of those wrinkles between eyebrows.
Threading provides the most accurate eyebrows with neater, straight lines. It ensures the unwanted hair is removed from the follicle; thus, it will take time for the hair to re-grow and it will become thinner as the months progressed. Not to mention that threading is the cheaper alternative as it may cost an average of $7, $5 less than the average cost of waxing treatments.
Slique is a new product that could provide anyone the convenience of threading hair in easy steps. This product is very user-friendly and affordable. There are no known side effects of using Slique since it is done naturally and no chemicals are required to remove the hair. User can see the effect of the product without applying so much effort. Slique is applicable to any types and thickness of hair, e.g. course hair, baby hair, grown hair, or fine hair. Slique will certainly make your skin soft and supple, without the hassle and pain, and will definitely give you a hair-free skin.
